His postgraduate qualifications include a PhD in Social Science (UFS) and an MSc in Industrial Safety Management from the Central Missouri State University (USA), where his dissertation received an award for the best graduate student research dissertation.William T Makomeni holds a B Tech in Safety Management from the University of South Africa. He has over 40 years%u2019 experience as a safety manager and tutor. He completed several courses in teaching, health, safety, risk, environmental management, human resource development and training. His practical experience in the field of occupational health, safety and environmental management makes an invaluable contribution to his students and is evident in his publications as well.
