Four members of the Botswana Law Reporting Unit successfully completed an Advanced Law Reports Training Course at the Juta and Company corporate head office in Cape Town yesterday.
With a long history of law reporting, Juta continue to publish different series of law reports for the Southern African market, including the Botswana Law Reports.
As such, Juta's experienced team of law reports editors are well placed to share knowledge and learning with regards the processes and production of print and digital law reports.
The advanced training course not only teaches and embeds the skills required to edit and publish law reports, but also gives candidates greater understanding of the intricacies on how different countries engage with law reports.
The training has proven to be extremely valuable to myself and the rest of the Botswana Law Reporting Unit who completed the one month course. We have gained a vast amount of experience and skills in law reporting and are more confident to undertake law reporting assignments on our own as a result of the training.

Presenting the certificates of competence on behalf of Juta and Company was Senior Law Reports Editor, Gideon Pienaar, who commended the accomplished candidates on being excellent legal ambassadors for Botswana.
