This practical one-day seminar by seasoned fraud investigator and industry expert Craig Bristow will cover the process and practice of conducting fraud investigations and the skills and techniques of conducting effective interviews. Attendees will receive a free copy of Practical Insights for Fraud Professionals: Lifting the veil on the dark art by the presenter worth R895 and recently published by Juta Law.


ABOUT THE PRESENTER - CRAIG BRISTOW

Craig has worked and studied over the last 30 years in the fields of Governance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, IT Audit and Fraud Risk Management. Craig is currently the Head of Group Internal Audit – Africa, for AP Moller Maersk. He has worked for more than 6 national and international organisations and his experience covers the fields of: life assurance and medical aids, retail and pharmaceutical distribution, construction and paint manufacturing, cooperative wine growing, professional services, oil and gas, shipping, logistics and freight forwarding. Craig has been a head of Internal Audit in three of these organisations. Craig has nine qualifications and certifications, including: CIA, CRMA, CISA, CRISA and CFE. Craig has been a speaker at many local and international forums. He has written various articles and is the author of “Practical Insights for Fraud Professionals: Lifting the veil on the dark art.” published by Juta Law in 2018.

  • Performing Interviews: interviewees, planning the interview, parties to the interview, general interview considerations, Miranda rights, interview questions, communication inhibitors and promoters, interview observations, interview protocol, interview phases, interview planning & structuring.

- Payment is required before or on the date of the seminar. Note: Entrance to the seminar will only be granted once payment is received in full, or on receipt of an official government or company order.
- If paying by EFT transfer or direct deposit, please quote the reference number provided on your invoice.
- Delegates paying by credit card will receive confirmation of registration once the payment has been processed and approved.

CANCELLATIONS
- The registration fee (less a 10% administration charge) will be refunded provided that written cancellation is received at least 7 working days prior to the event.
- No cancellations will be accepted within 7 working days of the seminar. However, substitute delegates are most welcome.
- Please note that if written cancellation is not received by us, delegates will be liable for the full fee. All conference materials will be supplied to delegates who do not arrive on the day of the seminar.
