Refunds via Customer Services
Juta will, upon request, issue a refund for any product within 30 days of purchase. Complete the Refund Form available under your My Juta profile at https://myjuta.co.za / General Resources / Forms and submit it to Juta Credit Control by email: creditcontrol@juta.co.za or fax: +27 (0)21 659 2690.
Valid reasons for a refund:
Overpayment, duplicate payment or advance payment
Defective product
The product billed is out of stock
The product is no longer required.
You ordered the incorrect format of a product and need a replacement in another format
Note: Print product returns are authorised provided that the item/s are received by us in a saleable condition, packaged in the original, sealed packaging.
E-Book returns are authorised, provided that the title has not been accessed or downloaded onto your device/s.
Refunds for Online Shop purchases
Contact Juta Customer Services by email at cserv@juta.co.za or call +27 (0)21 659 2300 to request a refund.
Note: Print product returns are authorised provided that the item/s are received by us in a saleable condition, packaged in the original, sealed packaging.
E-Book returns are authorised provided that the title has not been accessed or downloaded onto your device/s. It may take up to 3 business days for VitalSource Bookshelf to verify that the e-book has not already been accessed or downloaded onto your device/s.
How long does a refund take?
It can take up to 4 business days to approve the refund. Approved refunds can then take up to 2 days to appear in your account – however, refunds for international payment methods may take longer. If your refund hasn’t appeared after 7 days, please contact your bank to check for pending refunds on your account.
Why has Juta denied my refund?
Refunds will not be made when your account is in arrears. The amount will instead be offset against any arrears.
Refund for ebooks will not be granted if the title has already been accessed or downloaded onto your device/s.
Refunds will not be granted if the items have not been returned and received by us, or if the returned items are not in a saleable condition.

Incorrect content delivered
If the content delivered is not what you ordered, contact returns@juta.co.za or call +27 (0)21 659 2300 to resolve the error as quickly as possible.
I have purchased the incorrect ebook from the Juta online shop. How do I go about getting my replacement?
If the incorrect eBook is purchased, do not attempt to download the title or redeem the code on VitalSource Bookshelf. Juta will not issue a refund for the incorrect title if it has been accessed in any way. Promptly contact Juta Credit Control at email: creditcontrol@juta.co.za or call +27 (0)21 659 2300. It may take up to 3 business days for VitalSource to verify that the book has not already been accessed or downloaded onto your device/s. Once verified, Juta will process your replacement.
