The Immovable Property (Removal or Modification of Restrictions) Act 94 of 1965 consolidates the laws regarding removal or modification of restrictions on immovable property imposed by a will or other instrument; imposes a limits on both the duration of fideicommissa in respect of immovable property as created by a will or other instrument and the duration of restrictions on alienation; limits the duration of restrictions on the alienation of immovable property imposed by a will or other instrument other than a fideicommissum; and provides for incidental matters.
