A portal to success - Unlock continous professional professionals with CompliNEWS

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a sustainable and on-going education approach to help professionals manage their own learning and growth beyond their qualification, ensuring that they stay on the top of their game throughout their career, despite the changes within the industry. The financial services industry is no different.

All financial professionals who need to remain Fit & Proper according to the FAIS Act need between 8 and 35 CPD hours for the year which should include at least 3 hours on Ethics and Practice Standards. Fulfilling these requirements is time-consuming: practitioners need to accumulate accredited hours in small doses from a variety of different service providers, impacting productivity and stress. Which is why having a portal like CompliNEWS – with all relevant industry information and research, in different formats – is a win for busy professionals who need ready access to not only information, but a CPD portal.

While there are numerous CPD service providers, not all of them offer verifiable CPD hours, so make sure you are spending your time well! Strict guidelines govern this regulatory process, with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority – a financial institutions market conduct regulator in South Africa – relying on the South African Qualifications Authority to approve the Financial Planning Institute, who in turn accredits service providers such as CompliNEWS.

To help our colleagues and clients overcome these challenges, Juta offers quizzes on CompliNEWS to enable professionals to easily earn verifiable CPD hours. Taking advantage of this is easy!
