ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Prof Gerrit van der Waldt is Research Professor: Governance. His research focus area is social transformation at North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus). He is also an NRF-rated researcher.
Dr Annelise Venter is Manager: Local Economic Development (LED) at Fezile Dabi District Municipality (Northern Free State).
Mr Katlego Phutiagae is the former Head of Human Resources at Matlosana Local Municipality and is currently an independent Human Resources consultant.
Prof Eric Nealer serves in the Department of Public Administration and Management at UNISA and is an established scholar in the fields of water management, organisational analysis, human resources and municipal management.
Prof Titos Khalo currently serves in the Department of Public Management at Tshwane University of Technology, and is an expert in Public and Municipal Financial Management.
Prof Shikha Vyas-Doorgapersad is part of the Department of Public Management and Governance at the University of Johannesburg. She is an established researcher in the fields of sound local governance, ethics, human development, and gender equality.
Mr Chris van der Walt is the former Director of Infrastructure at Tlokwe Municipality, he is also an independent consultant, specialising in infrastructure and municipal development projects.
