UCT Press is committed to publishing high-quality, peer- reviewed monographs, scholarly publications with trade potential, and original research works in the area of the broad Humanities with an African perspective. We publish in print and digital formats and support open access delivery in principle.
UCT Press endeavours to be the preferred university press for academic authors on the African continent. Titles for publication under the UCT Press imprint are approved by the UCT Press Editorial Board, which comprises faculty members of the University of Cape Town, the leading university in Africa.
UCT Press is owned by Juta and Company (Pty) Limited. We routinely report to authors’ affiliated institutions on the peer- review process to facilitate application for DHET accreditation and subsidy.
