Professor Marthie Bezuidenhout has served in various senior management positions in both the clinical field and academic institutions. She has been the head of a renal dialysis and transplantation unit in Melbourne, Australia, served as vice-principal responsible for clinical teaching at the SG Lourens Nursing College,was head of the Department of Health Studies at the University of South Africa,and of late manages a multi-million rand project for the Tshwane University of Technology. She has contributed to several text books (13 in total) focusing on management, leadership and labour relations, has published articles in accredited scientific journals, and has supervised and promoted a large number of postgraduate, Master’s and doctoral students.
