Gail Gibson is a nancial services trainer normally found lurking behind a keyboard in Germiston, South Africa.
She was a group compliance manager, who became head of a regulatory training programme in an international nancial services company. Her investment knowledge resulted in her being the rst woman panellist ever chosen for the Zurich Club.
Gail and some friends decided to start a training company called Naked Mindz (www.nakedmindz.co.za) after seeing
too many episodes of The New Avengers. Their goal is to change the world by educating people using new
technologies. The company intends to relaunch in 2016 as the Global Academy of Intelligent Learning Solutions (www.gailsolutions. com).
Gail was a consultant for the Southern Africa Compliance Institute’s practitioner quali cation and the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa’s ‘Fit and Proper Standards’. She set industry board exams in nancial services and tax, and the Financial Services Board’s regulatory exams. She creates international courses to the accreditation standards of the Global Academy of Finance and Management, which are offered through the High Level Training Institute. Her other courses are on platforms such as Udemy and GO1. She serves as Vice-Chair in the Health Competency Committee at the Financial Planning Institute.
A Seta-accredited quali ed assessor, moderator, designer and developer, she is a subject matter expert in nancial services. Her experience and understanding of regulatory needs allows her to ef ciently and effectively link between business, sales, laws, regulations, risk, statutory and supervisory requirements.
