- This document serves a draft framework for the risk-adjusted strategy to bring different sectors of the economy back to work.
- Classification of sector follows the Standard Industrial Classifications (SIC) as published by Statistics South Africa.
- Where an entire division is permitted, it should be assumed that all subgroupings are permitted as well.
- Where only certain subgroupings are specifically permitted within a division, it should be assumed that other subgroupings are not.

Court Directives: Supreme Court of Appeal
- Court building shall remain open for essential work but no physical hearings in May 2020 court term
- Hearings will proceed via web-based video conferencing
- Once SCA IT infrastructure is upscaled and a suitable web-based video conferencing platform identified, that will be shared with the profession
- Participants will be required to provide the registrar with the necessary contact details in advance of the hearing date
- In due course appropriate practice directives regarding remote hearings will be issued
- Parties with matters set down for hearing during the term shall notify the registrar immediately after they reach agreement and may, with leave of the presiding judge, dispose of matters without oral argument ito s 19 (a) of the Superior Courts Act 10 of 2013, instead filing brief supplementary heads of argument not exceeding 10 pages within 7 days of their agreement
- If any party is of the view that an in person oral hearing cannot be dispensed with, they will be directed to make representations in writing to the registrar and the presiding judge will issue an appropriate directive, including, if necessary, sine die adjournment

- Procurement and delivery of essential goods and services for institutions in the higher education and training, and science, technology and innovation sectors
- Essential goods:
- ICT devices (desktops, laptops, modems and other devices) for education purposes
- Gases, liquids and chemicals used in the preservation of biological samples and maintenance of equipment and machinery
- Animal feed for laboratory and farm animals
- Printed materials to support learning and teaching, including textbooks, printed learning materials in other forms, and electronic devices with learning materials
- Stationery products needed to support teaching and learning
- Raw materials and technical products used in research and development and the manufacture of products supporting the response to COVID-19
- Production of radio-pharmaceutical products, radioactive isotopes and devices that are used in the nuclear medicine industry for diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures, including the production and distribution of:
- Sr-82 used for the preparation of 82Sr/82Rb generators for myocardial perfusion PET imaging, and
- Ge-68/Ga-68 generator used for the PET diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumours
- Transport of such goods between suppliers, institutions and students in the higher education and training, and science, technology and innovation sectors is declared an essential service
