Directions on Once-off Long Distance Inter-Provincial Transport
- Long distance inter-provincial passenger transportation by taxi and buses permitted on a once off basis from 1 May 2020 to 07 May 2020
- Taxi and buses must not carry more than 70% of their maximum licensed passenger carrying capacity
- Operators to ensure that public transport vehicles are sanitised before each road journey and after dropping of passenger/s
- Operators to ensure that all public transport vehicles' doors and window handles, arm rests and hand rails are sanitised after every load and passengers be sanitised before they enter the vehicle
- All passengers and drivers must wear a face mask or an item covering his/her nose and mouth
- No person will be allowed to use any form of public transport if they do not wear a face mask or an item covering his/her nose and mouth
- All public transport operators to put measures in place to adhere to physical distancing
- Public transport permitted to operate from 05h00 to 19h00 and driver must ensure drop-off is completed by 19h00

Directions on the Once-off Movement of Persons
- Any person who was not at their place of residence or work before lockdown and could not travel between provinces, metropolitan and district areas during the lockdown, will be permitted, on a once-off basis, to return to their places of residence or work and will be required to stay in such place until the end of Alert Level 4
- Persons are permitted to do so once-off during the period 1 May 2020 to 7 May 2020
- It is not required to produce a permit in order to cross provincial, metropolitan or district boundaries during such once-off trip
